Test closed, thanks to all testers!
Hopefully something nice will come out of it!I have some secret evil plans for Rogue Survivor.
I need testers to download and run a small java program.
You have Linux, Mac or Windows.
32 bits or 64 bits.
Desktop or laptop.
Whatever.
Mac users don't have to run a virtual windows machine or compatibility mode, just run your Mac natively.
The procedure:
- Download test-rs.jar here: removed
- Drop it anywhere you want, it doesn't install extract or install anything so it doesn't matter.
- If you know you have Java 1.6 or are on Mac, go to step 5.
- Get java here or here.
- Double-click on the jar you downloaded in step 1.
- Post a comment here stating your OS and what happened.
- ????
- PROFIT!
-
OS | win ! | fail :( |
---|---|---|
Linux 32 | ww | - |
Linux 64 | wwww | f3 |

- Failed to initialise the LWJGL display.

Did something, or perhaps someone, inspire you to do evil? ;)
System:

ReplyDeleteText appears.
Logo appears and rotates.
Fullscreen FPS: ~1100
Windowed FPS: ~300
Toggling out of fullscreen results in the screen appearing black with the mouse being the only thing visible. Moving the mouse over objects that should be on the screen (other open windows) cause the cursor to react (from default cursor to hand, re-size cursor, etc). Pressing space after the black screen opens RS window in fullscreen again with everything still working. ESC is the only escape.
Oh, and the music was playing clearly. :)

-FPS fluctuates a lot, low around 280 fps, high around 890 fps (no difference if it's fullscreen or not)
Sorry, didn't see an edit button. My review above commenting errors was quite likely caused from the test being done by a Remote Desktop Connection (Forgot that they use a dummy driver that most applications dislike using.)
ReplyDeleteNon RDC results:

Visible Text
Audible Music
Icon Rotates (Only when Focus is on window)
FPS between 3000-5000 (Windowed or full screen. Normal fluctuation.)
